Lori Nisson, MSW, LCSW joins the team at Banner Sun Health Research Institute as a licensed clinical social worker bringing extensive knowledge in working with adult and senior adult clients experiencing emotional, cognitive and behavioral


Lori is a proficient speaker providing training and education to patients, caregivers and professionals on topics relating to memory changes, movement disorders, mental health and behavioral issues in adults and families. Lori is the first FCS team member in the West Valley to assist in expanding these important services to patients and families.

She is joined by a group of additional nurses and social workers at Banner Alzheimer’s Institute.


Lori is available for individual and family appointments.

Desert Southwest Chapter


Description: The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research, whose mission is to eliminate the disease through advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

AZ Attorney General’s Office


Description: Protecting Arizona's seniors from abuse and exploitation is an important function of the Attorney General's Office. AZ's seniors are often more vulnerable to physical abuse and neglect by caretakers and many times are specifically targeted by those attempting to defraud them through home repair, living trust scams, bogus charities and other financial scams.

Description: The Governor’s Office on Aging works with many state and local agencies and organizations on numerous aging-related policy and program initiatives to ensure that Arizona is a good place to grow old.


American Cancer Society-Southwest Division


Description: The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.


Dementia Advocacy and Support Network


Description: An organization by and for those diagnosed with dementia. Since its founding in 2000, DASNI has evolved as an international group of people with dementia. Approximately one-third of members have dementia themselves.
